Why should I pre-order now?

We are launching with our absolute best price! The price of the tent will continue to go up every few weeks until Mid April when we ship the first order. 

Can I purchase your gear at a retail office store?

We are a direct to consumer internet retailer - meaning we only sell our gear online or at our retail store at 1926 14th St in Boulder, Colorado. This allows us to offer a great value on high quality outdoor gear. 

Can I pick up items at your retail office location in Boulder, Colorado?

Yes! We even offer additional discounts on some of our items if you pick it up in-store. Please call ahead to see if the item you are looking for is in stock, and/or if it is discounted for in-store pick up. 

Do you ship to PO Boxes or outside of the US?

We ship to street addresses only (sorry no P.O. Boxes) within the 48 Contiguous United States. We do ship to Alaska with an additional fee. Please contact customer service if you are inquiring about shipments to Alaska. 

What are your retail office hours?

Please contact us prior to visiting our retail office location to ensure we are open. We are in and out of the office frequently for meetings as well as to gather media content. Please visit our contact us page for our phone number and additional information. 

Do I pay for shipping?

All orders over $100 are shipped for free. You will be responsible for arranging and paying for any return shipping costs.

Does Simple ship internationally? 

Simple Outdoors does not currently ship internationally; however, we do have plans to expand our shipping in the future. Stay tuned. 

How can you sell your gear at a fraction of the price of the competition?

Simple Outdoors is a direct to consumer retailer. We are able to do so by using word of mouth as well as our social media channels to promote our products while cutting out big box retailers. With this we are able to offer high quality outdoor gear at a fraction of the price.

When will I receive my pre-ordered SkyLoft?

 The SkyLoft hard-style rooftop tent is expected to ship early April 2019. Customers who partake in pre-orders will be updated periodically before hand.

How do I install my new SkyLoft tent?

Please refer to our install page to view the instructions on how to set up your new tent. If you have any questions, our customer support team is available to help with installation questions as well. 

Do you offer a warranty on the SkyLoft tent?

Yes! We offer a 1 year limited warranty. Please refer to our warranty page to review the details of the warranty. 

What is your policy on returns?

What if I would like to pick up my SkyLoft up in store?

Orders can be arranged to be picked up in store at our Boulder location. This brings $100 off the price of the rooftop tent. If you would like to pick up your tent, please leave a note in the checkout section of your purchase. 

Will the tent fit on my car?

Most vehicles can fit the tent; however, there are minimum requirements for the rack system required to hold the tent.

Please refer to your vehicle's owner manual if you have stock crossbars. If you purchased an after-market rack system, the information regarding weight limits can most likely be found on their website or in the manual that came with the racks. 

You will need at least two horizontal crossbars that are at minimum 34" across (however, greater is always preferred when possible). Your crossbars need to be at least a minimum of 30" minimum (from the front to back) or a maximum of 48" apart (from the front to the back). These recommended dimensions help distribute the weight better.

Our tent mounting hardware works on almost all crossbars (round, square, aero bars, etc.) as long as they are no more than 3.5" in width or 1.5" tall. If you have any questions regarding your crossbars, feel free to contact customer service.

Your car rack needs to have a dynamic weight rating of at least 145 lbs. Your car can support nearly 4 times the dynamic weight rating as a static load.

Ensure that there will enough clearance between the roof of your vehicle and the top of your crossbars to be able to fit your arm in so you can tighten the mounting hardware. This is important when you are mounting the SkyLoft to factory installed roof racks as this can cause difficulties when installing because factory roof rack systems tend to be a lower profile than other, after-market rack systems. 

What is the difference between STATIC and DYNAMIC loads?

Simply put; static load refers to the amount your car and/or racks can hold while parked. Dynamic load refers to the amount your car and/or racks can hold while driving down the road.
